Job description

Requirements Overview:
• A bachelor’s degree in lab sciences (or related)
• National certification as a medical technologist
• 3+ years in management (or 6+ as a supervisor)
• Experience with lab testing, quality management, and regulatory standards
• Strong tech (lab systems and MS Office), leadership, and teamwork skills
• Clear communication and problem-solving ability
• Regulatory knowledge and audit preparedness

Education & Certification
Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or a related science (from an accredited institution)
Credentialed as a Medical Technologist with national certification (ASCP, HEW, AMT, ISCLT, etc.)

Experience
At least 3 years as a laboratory manager or 6 years as a lab supervisor (or similar supervisory/management experience)

Technical & Regulatory Competence
Strong understanding of lab operations: chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic testing
Skilled in quality control, cost containment, and timely service delivery
Familiarity with regulatory compliance (COLA, HHS, CMS, CLIA, etc.)

Skills & Abilities
Proficient computer skills (MS Office, Excel)
Excellent verbal and written communication in English; additional languages are a plus
Proven leadership: coaching, mentoring, scheduling, performance reviews, hiring, and policy development
Collaborative healthcare-team mindset, with a commitment to patient care
Calm under pressure with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
