Burn Surgeon needed in California

Job description

We are seeking a Board-Certified Burn Surgeon for a long-term locum assignment in California. This role offers a mix of daytime shifts, clinic coverage, inpatient responsibilities, and 24-hour call at a specialized burn center.

Highlights:

Flexible Scheduling – 30–35 shifts per month | Mix of daytime coverage and 24-hour call | 6-month contract with option to extend

Comprehensive Burn Care – Inpatient and outpatient units, clinic, and call coverage | Dedicated NP support in burn clinic

Fast Start Options – Credentialing in 60–90 days | Emergency privileges available for urgent needs

Details:

Start Date: As soon as credentialed

Contract: 6 months, extendable

Setting: Hospital & outpatient burn clinic | 15-bed facility

Schedule: 8-hour day shifts (surgery, inpatient, clinic) + 24-hour call shifts with 6–8 hrs onsite coverage

Requirements: BC in Surgery, Burn Fellowship (ACGME) required, CA license (may license for strong candidates), DEA, inpatient burn surgery experience

EMR: Epic

Open to: New grads with fellowship training
