New Opportunity in Washington with Aya Locums: Diagnostic Radiology Physician

Job description

Aya Locums is seeking Board-Certified Radiologists for a new off-site, free-standing Emergency Department in Washington. This opportunity requires both on-site and remote coverage.

Assignment Details:
• Specialty: Diagnostic Radiology – Emergency Medicine
• Start Date: 10/6/2025
• Duration: 3 months (possibility to extend)
• Coverage: 24-hour coverage; flexible 8- or 12-hour shifts
• Providers Needed: 2–3 to cover 24-hour shifts
• Setting: On-site hospital coverage or remote coverage

Workload & Volume:
• Patient Volume: Low (new facility with no historical data); maximum 70–80 patients/day once ER is established
• Turnaround Expectations:
o CVA: 20 minutes
o Stat: 30 minutes – 1 hour
o Trauma: 30 minutes
• Monthly Modality Breakdown:
o CT: 851
o Ultrasound: 238
o X-ray: 1,191
• PACS / Dictation: GE Centricity, Dragon
• Special Skills / Dealbreakers: N/A – no specialized procedures required (Mammo or IR not needed)

Requirements:
• Board Certification: Radiology
• License: WA or IMLC
• Comfortable covering low-volume sites and supporting up to 3 additional STAT-only sites during downtime
• Workstation: Provided by provider
