New Opportunity Located in Northern CA with Aya Locums: Cardiology PA

Job description

Aya Locums is seeking a Physician Assistant with inpatient cardiology experience for a 26-week hospital-based contract in Northern California. This role offers collaboration with rotating attending physicians and the opportunity to manage a diverse patient population with complex medical conditions.

Assignment Details
• Shift details: 3x12s (7a–7:30p), all days, weekends and holidays required (usually 2–3 weekend shifts/month; rotating holidays)
• Practice setting: Inpatient, hospital (non-ICU)

Case Mix / Work Details
• Average patients per day: 6–7
• Patient population: Adults
• Department: General cardiology with concurrent medical issues (e.g., heart failure, diabetes, renal failure, etc.)
• Attending physician rounds with APP in the morning; APP coordinates care throughout the day
• May cover post-cardiac procedure service as needed

Requirements
• Board Certification: Master’s in PA Studies required
• License: Active CA license (willing to license)
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Experience: At least 1 year inpatient cardiology required; may consider related experience (cardiac critical care, cardiac procedures, cath lab, or inpatient medicine)
