Locum Tenens Cardiovascular Anesthesiologist needed in North Carolina

Job description

Specialty: Cardiovascular Anesthesiology (MD)
Location: North Carolina
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6 months (possible extension until permanent hires are onboarded)

Assignment Details

Schedule: 8–10 hour shifts | No call, no weekends

Case Volume: ~10–15 CV cases per day; 3,500–4,000 general cases/month

Case Mix: OB, trauma, stroke, vascular, neuro, urology, ortho

Skills Required: Peripheral nerve blocks

Support Model: 1 MD supervising 3–4 CRNAs | Anesthesia tech support available

Practice Setting: Hospital | Care Team Model (supervisory, but MDs may take cases directly if preferred)

EMR: Cerner + AIMS

Excluded: No craniotomies or transplants (dedicated teams handle trauma & cardiac; possible vascular involvement)

Requirements

Active North Carolina license required

Board Eligible or Board Certified (Anesthesiology)

Strong CV anesthesia experience preferred

Travel: Client reimburses travel & lodging with receipts (no stipend)
