Hematology/Oncology Locums – Rhode Island

Job description

Start Date: October 27, 2025 (ASAP start possible)
Coverage Type: Scheduled Outpatient + Inpatient Rounding + Call
Contract Length: Ongoing

Position Highlights

✅ Schedule: 3 days/week outpatient clinic (8a–4:30p) + call coverage (weekdays & weekends)
✅ Rounding: 1–2 hours daily inpatient consults based on volume
✅ Coverage: Flexible – full-time or 1–2 weeks/month

Work Details

Outpatient Volume: 18–22 patients/day

Inpatient: Varies based on consults

Procedures: Biopsies as needed

Support Staff: Nursing and administrative staff onsite

EMR: Meditech (80% paper / 20% EMR)

Requirements

Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology

Active Rhode Island license (or ability to obtain)

DEA required

Minimum experience: 2+ years preferred

Credentialing timeframe: Standard
