Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality mental health counseling services to individuals and couples. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions to support clients in achieving their mental health goals. The counselor will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Responsibilities
Conduct individual and couples counseling sessions to address various mental health issues.
Perform intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine client needs.
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
Utilize various therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, crisis intervention, and motivational interviewing.
Provide support for clients dealing with anxiety, PTSD, addiction, grief, and other emotional challenges.
Engage in crisis management and behavior management strategies as needed.
Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for clients with developmental disabilities or special needs.
Offer in-person and/or telehealth services as required to meet client needs.
Skills
Proficiency in psychotherapy techniques including CBT, Trauma-Focused, Client-Centered and and behavioral therapy.
EMDR Training highly considered.
Experience working with children (ages 15 +), college-age, adults, and couples.
Strong knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for accurate medical records management.
Familiarity with clinical counseling practices, case management, and patient assessment procedures.
Ability to provide crisis intervention and manage high-stress situations effectively.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and healthcare professionals.
