Locums – APP Cardiology (Heart Failure / Transplant Focus) - Chicago, IL

Contract Length: 3 months
Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours Only

Schedule

Shifts: 4x10s (8p–6a) preferred OR 3x12s (6p–6a)

Days: Monday–Sunday (night coverage)

Call: None

Work Details

Setting: Hospital – Heart Failure Inpatient Services

Hospital Size: 824 beds

Support Staff: RNs, techs, admin staff, heart failure physicians

Daily Census: ~15 patients (Adult/Geriatric)

Procedures: None

Focus: Transplant (heart & other solid organs), immunosuppression, cardiac background preferred

Case Mix: Post-transplant patients, high-dose inotropes, re-admits with heart issues, patients awaiting transplant

ICU Coverage: None – floor patients only

EMR: Epic

Requirements

Board Certification: Required – NP/PA (Adult, Acute Care, or Cardiac accepted with relevant transplant/immunosuppression experience)

State License: Active IL license required

DEA & CSR: Required

Certifications: BLS, ACLS

Experience: 2+ years preferred (transplant/immunosuppression experience required)

Credentialing

Timeframe: 60–90 days
