Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant SC, Will License – Locums

Job Description:
A large hospital is seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic PA for locums coverage. Provider will work a mix of outpatient and inpatient/acute care, handling an average of 10 patients daily (5 admissions, 5 ICU, 4 surgeries). Must be able to harvest vein and first assist surgeon on all open-heart cases, as well as provide suturing and pre/post-op surgical care.

Patient Population: Adults only

Caseload: ~10 patients/day

Support Staff: 4 physicians, 7 mid-levels

EMR: Epic

Required Experience: Minimum 2 years

• Schedule: M–F, 6a–2p (8 hr guarantee), with OT after 8 Sign up or sign in for contact informationx BR
• Call: 5% weekdays, 75% weekends (ER call primarily), call-back billed at OT rate
• Setting: 90% hospital / 10% clinic, adult-only population
