Specialty: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant
Location: [Hospital – 1,541 beds]
Start Date: February 9, 2026
Contract Length: 6 months
Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week (6p–6a)
Preferred Coverage: Tuesday–Thursday nights, plus 1–2 weekends per month (flexible)

Position Details:

Coverage Need: 12 shifts per month (approx. 3 per week).

Patient Load: Typically 5–6 patients per night; can increase to 10–12 on surgery days.

Setting: Hospital-based Cardiac ICU.

Patient Population: Pediatrics.

Support Staff: Full hospital support. Night shift always staffed with one attending and one fellow.

EMR: EPIC.

Hospital Size: 1,541 beds.

Procedures: Central line placement, intubation, arterial line placement. Experience with pacer wires is a plus, but not required.

Skills Required: Proficiency in above procedures, strong communication, ability to collaborate with surgeons during bedside rounding.

Requirements:

Board Certification: ACNP or Physician Assistant.

Licensure: Active state license preferred, but will consider candidates needing licensure.

DEA & CSR: Required.

Certifications: PALS and ACLS required.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years in critical care or ICU.
