URGENT Interventional Radiologist needed in KS and/or MO
Job description
Coverage Details:
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
Call: Evenings and weekends, low volume
On-site daytime coverage at one hospital location; call coverage shared between two additional sites
Assignment Length: Ongoing
Practice Setting:
Hospital-based coverage with dedicated IR suites
Updated technology and equipment
Not a high-volume trauma environment
Support staff includes radiology managers, technologists, and nurses (approx. 24% physicians, 5% APPs)
EMR: Epic | PACS: Change/McKesson
Modalities:
CT, MRI, PET, Ultrasound
Procedures (Representative List):
Angiography, percutaneous catheter placement, transluminal vascular interventions
Myelography, arthrography, transjugular liver biopsy, TIPS
Image-guided paracentesis, thoracentesis, biopsy, and drain placement
Central venous catheter placement, joint aspirations/injections, vertebroplasty, kyphoplasty, carotid stenting
Additional Privileges Include:
Ultrasound-guided biopsy (core and FNA)
CT/US/Fluoro-guided joint procedures and biopsies
Lumbar puncture, chest tube placement, and other image-guided interventions

Reason for Need:
Gaps in coverage and additional site support
Requirements:
Board Certification: Not required; board eligible within 2 years of residency acceptable
Licensure: Willing to license; preference for candidates holding or eligible for MO and KS licenses (IMLC accepted)
Certifications: None required
Privileging: 45–60 days for full privileges; temporary privileges available (typically 1 week once paperwork is submitted)
