Oncologist – Beckley, WV | Locum Opportunity Starting December 2025

Position Overview

We are seeking a Board-Certified Oncologist to provide full-time coverage at a reputable Cancer Center in Beckley, WV. This is a long-term locum assignment with a supportive care team, manageable patient load, and an established department committed to excellent patient outcomes.

Schedule & Details

Clinic: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Call: Inpatient call every 3rd week (1 in 3 rotation)

Coverage Requirement: Must be able to provide at least 3 weeks per month

Patient Volume: ~15 patients per day (ages 18+)

Procedures: Bone marrow biopsies

Support Staff: Nurses, CMAs, and APPs

Practice Setting: Hospital-based Cancer Center

EMR: Cerner

Credentialing: 45–60 days (temporary license available for qualified candidates)

Requirements

Board Certification in Oncology (required)

Oncology Fellowship, BLS, and ACLS required

Active West Virginia license or ability to obtain (temp license available)

DEA required

3–5 years of oncology experience preferred
