Hematology Locum Opportunity – North Carolina

Job description

An established healthcare facility in North Carolina is seeking an experienced Hematologist (or Hem/Onc physician) for an ongoing locum assignment in a busy ambulatory clinic setting. This role focuses primarily on benign hematology with strong support staff and an excellent work environment.

Assignment Details

Setting: Ambulatory Hem/Onc Clinic (Inpatient Facility Support)

Patients per Day: Minimum 15 (benign hematology focus)

Hospital Size: TBD

Support Staff: Dedicated nurses, navigator, admin team, pharmacy, 1–2 physicians, APPs, and infusion specialists

EMR: Epic (assessment required before start date)

Schedule: Full-time, ongoing assignment

Responsibilities

See new and follow-up hematology patients

Manage benign hematologic conditions and general Hem/Onc cases

Write orders, prescriptions, and coordinate with pharmacy and infusion staff

Provide patient-centered, collaborative care with multidisciplinary support

Requirements

✅ Board Certification: Hematology or Oncology (both preferred)
✅ License: Active North Carolina medical license
✅ DEA: Required
✅ Certifications: BLS
✅ Experience: Minimum 2–3 years post-training
🕓 Credentialing Timeframe: 60–90 days
