Location: Lexington, KY
Assignment Type: Locum Tenens
Start Date: December
Coverage Type: Outpatient Clinic (with optional procedural days)

Schedule Details

Shift Details: 5x8 clinic schedule (Mon–Fri). Days may run longer depending on patient volume.

Schedule: Flexible—ideally 1 week of clinic coverage per month. Additional scheduling requests considered.

Weekend Needs: Limited; weekend coverage not typically required.

Call Requirements: None.


Work Details

Support Staff: 3 staff physicians, support APPs

Coverage Needed: Flexible (open to part-time or ongoing scheduling)

Patients per Day: 16–20 per half-day, depending on APP support

Patient Types: Mix of new and follow-up patients

Follow-ups: 15–30 mins

New patients: 20–40 mins (based on Epic experience)

Procedures: Optional 1-day procedure block available for ablations, pacemaker implants, and other EP procedures

Department Setting: Academic/teaching environment within a hospital system

EMR: Epic


Requirements

Board Status: BE/BC in Cardiology with fellowship in Electrophysiology

License: Kentucky (will consider licensing candidates)

DEA: Required

Experience: Minimum 1 year in EP practice
