Locum NP cardiothoracic surgery

Job description

We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner ready to make an impact in the Cardiothoracic Surgery field for a surgical team at a leading hospital in Lexington, KY, where your expertise and compassion will make a real difference every day!

🩺 Role Highlights:

Procedures: Assist in CABG, AVR, MVR, thoracotomy, and lung resection cases.

Duties Include:

Performing OR assists, vein harvests, and chest tube placements
Managing patients in telemetry and ICU settings
Participating in inpatient rounds, procedures, and weekend surgical coverage

Schedule:

1–2 call days per week
1 weekend per month (Friday 7 AM – Monday 7 AM)
Start Date: As soon as credentialed
