Schedule: Full-time with call (every other weeknight and every third weekend)

π« Comprehensive Cardiac Surgery Program: Provide the full spectrum of adult cardiac surgical services including complex CABG (on/off-pump), minimally invasive valve repair/replacement, and transcatheter structural heart procedures in a high-acuity hospital setting.
π Structural Heart & Critical Care Expertise: Ideal candidates will have advanced structural heart training or fellowship experience, with proficiency in arrhythmia surgery, ECMO management, and ICU patient care within a collaborative, team-based environment.
βοΈ Efficient, Established Department: Join a two-surgeon team managing approximately 300 cases per year, supported by APPs and nursing staff using Cerner EMR to streamline workflow and documentation.
Position Details
Coverage Type: Full-time with call (every other weeknight, every third weekend)
Case Volume: ~300 annual cases split between two surgeons
Support Staff: APPs and nursing team
EMR: Cerner
Skills Required: Full range of adult cardiac surgical and structural heart services, including minimally invasive mitral/aortic procedures, CABG, arrhythmia surgeries, and catheter-based interventions.
Requirements
Board Certification: Required (Cardiovascular/Thoracic Surgery)
License: Active Maryland medical license (no licensing assistance)
DEA/CSR: Required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS
Experience: Minimum 5 years preferred
Credentialing Timeframe: TBD
