Locum Tenens Cardiovascular/Thoracic Surgeon

Start Date: February 2, 2026
Contract Length: 6 months
Schedule: Full-time with call

Clinical Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive cardiac surgical care including:

Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (on/off-pump, multiple-arterial revascularization)

Minimally invasive mitral and aortic valve repair/replacement

Transcatheter-based structural heart interventions

Arrhythmia surgeries and catheter-based interventions

ECMO management and critical care ICU patient care

Participate in heart team decision-making and collaborative patient management with consultants, APPs, and nursing staff

Manage approximately 300 cases per year (split between 2 surgeons)

Requirements:

Board Certified in Cardiovascular/Thoracic Surgery

Valid state medical license or IMLC

DEA registration

CSR (Controlled Substance Registration)

Required certifications: BLS, ACLS

Minimum of 5 years post-training experience

Preferred: Structural Heart Fellowship or advanced training in structural heart procedures

• Full time preferred
• IMLC accepted
• Expertise in complex Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG), Minimally invasive valve repair/replacement, and all trans catheter structural heart procedures.
