Outpatient Cardiothoracic Surgery (NP/PA) - California

Contract Length: 3 months, ongoing
Shift Details: 7:00a–5:00p
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (4x10s)

Work Details

Support Staff: 3 MDs, 2 front office staff, 1 surgery scheduler, 2 MAs

Patient Volume: 35–40 patients/week (Mondays slower, Tuesdays busiest)

Patient Population: All ages

Setting: Outpatient clinic/private practice

Role Description: Provider will support 3 cardiac surgeons with pre- and post-op patient care. Position is approximately 60% administrative and 40% clinical. No surgical or invasive procedures performed in clinic.

Clinical Tasks: Suturing, wound care

EMR: EPIC

Required Skills

Surgical background preferred—ideally cardiothoracic or cardiac.

Strong experience with pre/post-operative evaluations and minor procedures.

Outpatient experience highly preferred.

Board Certification: Required

License: Active CA license required

DEA: Required

Certifications: BLS

Experience: Minimum 2 years

Note: This is an outpatient, non-surgical role with a significant administrative component.
