Job description
We are seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgeon to provide full-time coverage in Minnesota. This assignment offers a strong procedural mix, including both routine and advanced cardiac and thoracic cases, in a collaborative, high-acuity hospital setting.
🗓 Assignment Details
Start Date: ASAP (January 1 ideal; committee review January 5, 2026)
License: Active Minnesota license or IMLC required
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7a–5p
Call Rotation: 1:3 week rotation (includes weekday day shifts, overnight 5p–7a, and 24-hour weekend call)
Setting: Hospital-based surgical practice
🫀 Case Mix
Predominantly routine cardiac cases – CABGs, valves, etc.
Aortic aneurysms & aortic dissections
Atrial fibrillation surgery
Cardiac valve repair & replacement
Carotid endarterectomy
Coronary artery bypass surgery (CABG)
Congenital heart surgery
Heart failure, LVAD, and transplant procedures
Minimally invasive and robotic cardiac surgery
Thoracoscopic and esophageal procedures
✅ Requirements
Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
Active MN license or IMLC required
Availability for full-time coverage
Ability to manage both routine and complex cardiac cases
