Aya Locums is seeking a Cardiac Surgeon to deliver specialized cardiovascular care within a leading surgical program in Minnesota. This role features a consistent weekday schedule, advanced cardiac case mix, and the chance to join a dedicated, high-performing heart team.

Assignment Details
• Start Date: ASAP (Ideal: January 2026; pending committee review on January 5, 2026)
• Contract Length: Ongoing
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00a–5:00p
• Call: 1:3 rotation
o Includes daytime call, overnight (5p–7a), and 24-hour weekend call

• Specialty: Cardiac Surgery
• Case Mix: Predominantly routine cardiac procedures, including:
o Coronary artery bypass (CABG)
o Valve repair/replacement
o Aortic aneurysms & dissections
o Atrial fibrillation surgery
o Carotid endarterectomy
o LVAD surgery
o Heart transplant
o Congenital heart surgery
o Lung surgery
o Esophageal & thoracoscopic procedures
o Minimally invasive & robotic cardiac surgery
• EMR: Epic
• Support: Comprehensive cardiovascular surgical team

Requirements
• License: Active Minnesota license or IMLC eligibility required
• Board Certification: Required in Cardiac Surgery
• Experience: Prior cardiac surgical experience required
