Perm - Physician - Maternal Fetal Medicine needed in Livonia, MI

Job description

A full-time Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist is needed to join a regional MFM team providing advanced care to high-risk obstetric patients in a collaborative and patient-focused environment.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The selected physician will:

Provide specialized Maternal Fetal Medicine services, managing high-risk pregnancies and fetal complications.

Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including obstetricians, neonatologists, and other specialists to develop comprehensive care plans.

Serve as a regional physician, primarily based at the main practice site with periodic travel to other affiliated sites as needed.

Participate in the education and supervision of medical students and residents.

Work with a dedicated support team including a medical assistant, sonographer, and additional clinical staff at each office.

Share call responsibilities with the partnered physician/medical director—primarily phone call coverage with hospital visits only as necessary.


Shift & Schedule Details

Shift Description: Day shifts with additional on-call responsibilities.

Weekend Requirements: Call duty shared with the MFM partner/medical director—mostly phone-based with hospital visits as needed.

On-Call Requirements: Call rotations shared with the MFM partner/medical director—primarily phone coverage with hospital visits only when required.

Team Structure

Current team includes one community-based provider and one contracted provider working with a residency clinic.


Candidate Profile

Open to experienced, Board-Certified MFM physicians or truly Board-Eligible recent graduates.

Board-Eligible candidates must achieve Board Certification within two years of becoming eligible.

Not accepting candidates with expired or lapsed Board Certification requiring reinstatement.

Not accepting locum tenens candidates.

Open to H1B visa candidates (J1 waivers not accepted).

REQUIREMENTS


Board Certified in OB/GYN – Required

Board Eligible (must achieve certification within 2 years) or Board Certified in Maternal Fetal Medicine – Required

State medical license (or willingness to obtain) – Required

DEA (or willingness to obtain) – Required

BLS and ACLS (or willingness to obtain) – Required

Clean malpractice history – Preferred/Highly Preferred

Indicate whether H1B visa support is required (J1 not supported)
