Assignment Details

Specialty: Cardiothoracic Surgery

Start Date: December 18

End Date: Ongoing

Coverage Type: 24-hour

Shift Time: 7:00 AM → 7:00 AM

Expectations: Daily inpatient rounding + 24/7 CVT call coverage during assignment

Practice Environment

Setting: Inpatient

Support Team Includes:

First-assistant (NP/PA)

Two surgical techs

RN circulator

Anesthesiologist

Dedicated ICU and step-down nursing staff

Clinical Scope & Skills Required

Candidates must be fully competent to manage adult cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgical cases, including:

Open heart surgery

CABG

Aortic dissections

Requirements

Board Certification: Required

Certification: Current American Board of Thoracic Surgery certification (mandatory)

Licensure: Idaho license

DEA: Required

CSR: Required

• 24 hour call
• Idaho license required
• Candidate needs to do open heart and will need to be able to do CABG and aortic dissections. The provider must be competent to cover any adult cardiac and thoracic and vascular surgical case.
