Job Title: Wound Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Locum Tenens

Bill Rate: $140-145/hour

Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital

Trauma Level: Adult III/IV

Contract Duration: 13 weeks (possibility to extend)

Start Date: 01/12/2026 (or ASAP with emergency privileges)

Non-Billable Orientation: 4 hours

Shift & Schedule

Shift Type: Day

Shift Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday

Block Schedules: No

Coverage: Scheduled + No Call

FTE: 0.8

Practice Setting & Work Details

Practice Setting: Outpatient Wound Clinic

Observed Holidays: Orientation only

Average Daily Census: 20 patients/day

Patient Age Group: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics

Support Staff: MD, specialty staff

Appointments: Every 20 minutes, up to 20 patients/day

EMR: Epic

Procedures & Skills Required

Perform sharp debridement

Biopsies

Biologic skin graft applications

Apply total contact casts

Must have Wound Care experience

Outpatient clinic experience preferred

Open to temp license

Requirements

Board Certification: Wound Care (Required)

State License: Minnesota (Required; temp licenses accepted)

Teaching Hospital Experience: Optional

Trauma Level I/II Experience: Optional

Job Overview

Need ASAP start; credentialing timeframe ~90 days. Emergency privileges may allow earlier start.

Outpatient Wound Clinic serving patients of all ages

Perform specialty wound care procedures

Work closely with MDs and specialty staff

Full support provided for clinical duties
