Job description

his role supports a high-acuity Level IV NICU within a large regional health system. Schedule is primarily 12-hour day shifts with potential occasional nights. Full-time coverage needed, with consideration for an additional part-time provider.

Assignment Details

Start Date: Early February (6 weeks from offer)

Contract Length: 6 months

Schedule: 3×12-hour day shifts weekly (7:00–19:00)

Call: None

Shift Types: Primarily days; may include occasional nights

Providers Needed: 1 full-time, potential part-time addition

EMR: Epic

Clinical Environment

Level of Care: Level IV NICU

Patient Volume: 10–12 patients per shift

Support Staff: Dedicated transport team; 8–9 APPs on day shift, 3 at night

Procedures: Intubations, chest tubes, arterial line placement

Required Skills: Independent proficiency with Level IV neonatal procedures and management across a wide range of gestational ages and diagnoses

Facility Size: Large system, 600+ beds

Requirements

Board Certification: Required

Licensure: State license required unless qualifying via IMLC; compact candidates considered

DEA: Required

Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP

Experience: Minimum two years of recent Level IV NICU experience

Neonatal NP Certification: Required

Epic Experience: Required
