Locum Tenens Family Practice Physician

Rural Outpatient Clinic | Eastern North Carolina

We are actively seeking a Locum Tenens Family Medicine Physician to support a rural outpatient primary care clinic in eastern North Carolina. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who enjoys rural medicine, values flexibility, and may be open to a locums-to-permanent transition if the fit is right.

🩺 Assignment Overview

Setting: Rural outpatient primary care

Assignment Length: Initial 3-month locum assignment with opportunity to extend

Locums-to-Perm: Yes, if mutually desired

Start Date: Upon completion of credentialing

Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 30–60 days

🗓 Schedule & Patient Volume

Full-time locum coverage
Monday–Friday, no nights or weekends
Average 20+ patients per day
Must be comfortable seeing patients of all ages

Established clinic with experienced support staff
Broad-spectrum family medicine in a rural setting

🎯 Ideal Locum Candidate

Board Certified in Family Medicine
Comfortable practicing independently in a rural environment
Holds an active DEA
Clean licensure and professional record
Interested in short-term locum work with potential long-term option
