Physical Medicine Rehabilitation MD needed in CA!

Job description

-Shift Details: weekend coverage, Saturday and Sunday covering both facilities (3 miles apart). 6 hours of coverage on site Sat/Sun and then provider will need to be on call in case of any admissions
-Call requirements: night call for admissions
-Work Details:
• Patients per day: 12-13
• Not TBI or spinal cord at present
• Department description: inpatient acute care rehab units. Provider will be responsible for admissions, discharges, and rounding. There are internal and general medicine providers available for acure medical issues. Consult services available (neurology, orthopedics, pain, internal medicine)
• Cases: General for now
• Special procedures: prefer providers who are able to do bread and butter PM&R procedures like joint injections, spasticity management with Botox or intrathecal baclofen pumps. **EMG/NCS NOT required for weekend covg
-Practice Setting: Hospital Inpatient
-Requirements:
• Board Certification: Will take BE or BC
• License required: yes, CA license required
• DEA: yes, CA DEA required
• Certifications required: AHA BLS
• Minimum experience required: must have at least 2 year experience working inpatient PM&R
-Credentialing Timeframe: 45-60 days

• Weekend coverage
• Medical malpractice insurance provided
• CA license required
