Job description

Assignment Details
• Start Date: March 2026-Ongoing
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Practice Setting
• Acute Care Hospital
• Trauma Level: Adult Level II (III–IV support)
• Cardiovascular Surgery service
• Oncology lung cases referred to another facility
• No electrophysiology cases

Case Mix & Volume
Predominantly routine cardiothoracic cases, including:
• CABG / Valves: ~250 cases
• TAVR / Structural Heart: ~200 cases
• Mitral Clips: ~100 cases
• Lead Extractions: ~35 cases

Procedures include but are not limited to:
• Coronary artery bypass surgery
• Cardiac valve repair and replacement
• Aortic aneurysm and dissection repair
• Atrial fibrillation surgery
• Carotid endarterectomy
• Congenital heart surgery
• Heart failure surgery & LVAD
• Minimally invasive and robotic cardiac surgery
• Thoracoscopic and esophageal surgery
• Pacemaker and structural heart procedures

Candidate Profile
• Proficient in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery
• Flexibility across case types strongly preferred
• Comfortable with trauma-level coverage and call responsibilities
