Aya Locums is seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join a high-acuity hospital in Indiana for an ongoing locums-to-permanent opportunity. This role is ideal for a surgeon looking for consistent call coverage, complex procedural volume, and the potential to transition into a long-term position within a well-supported surgical program.

Assignment Details
• Start Date: ASAP (targeting January 19, 2026)
• Contract Length: Ongoing | Locums to Permanent
• Schedule: Full-time 24-hour call
• Shift Structure: Standard rotation
o 5 shifts/week
o 24-hour coverage: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
o Day and Night responsibilities
• Credentialing: Temporary privileges available

• Specialty: Cardiothoracic / Vascular Surgery
• Practice Setting: Inpatient | Trauma Level II
• Hospital Size: 325 beds
• Patients per Day: ~10
• EMR: Cerner
• Support Staff: 2 RNs, 1 MA, 1 APP
Procedures & Skills Include:
• Endovascular procedures
• CABG, Coronary Bypass
• Valvular repair and congenital defect correction
• Aneurysm repair
• TAVR, VATS
• Chest wall and esophageal procedures
• Pacemaker & AICD placement
• Left ventricular procedures
• Vent management, bronchoscopy
• Acute volume/BP management
• Central line, arterial line, PA catheter
• IABP and comprehensive vascular surgery

Requirements
• Board Status: Board Eligible
• Licensure: Active Indiana license (required)
• DEA: Required
• Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, BLS
• Experience: Prior cardiothoracic and vascular surgical experience required
