𝐉𝐨𝐛 𝐓𝐢𝐭𝐥𝐞:
Physician Assistant – 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐜 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐲 (Locum Tenens)

𝐉𝐨𝐛 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧:
We are seeking an experienced Board-Certified Physician Assistant to support a high-volume Cardiothoracic Surgery service at a large acute care hospital. The PA will work closely with cardiothoracic surgeons and APPs, providing comprehensive perioperative care for adult patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Responsibilities include first assisting in open-heart surgeries, vein harvesting, suturing, and managing pre-operative and post-operative surgical care, including ICU and floor coverage. The role requires strong clinical skills, the ability to work independently, and comfort with on-call responsibilities.

- Beds: 720
- Patient Population: Adults only

𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞 & 𝐂𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞:
- Schedule Type: Scheduled + On Call
- Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM (8 hours/day)
- Coverage Expectation: Minimum 3 weeks per month
- On-Call Requirement: Yes
- Weekdays: ~5%
- Weekends: ~75% (primarily ER call)

𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 & 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐬:
- Board Certification Required: Yes
- Years of Experience Required: Minimum 2 years
- State License: South Carolina (Required)
- Willing to License: Yes
- Certifications Required: ACLS, DEA
- EMR: Epic (Preferred)

𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬:
- Vein harvesting
- First assist on all open-heart surgeries
- Suturing
- Pre- and post-operative surgical care
- ICU and inpatient management

• Pay is open and fully negotiable
• M–F schedule (6a–2p) with structured on-call coverage
• High-acuity cardiothoracic surgery role at a Level I acute care hospital (Adults only)
