Job description

Full-time Cardiothoracic ICU APP needed for leave of absence coverage. High-acuity, transplant-focused ICU seeking an experienced NP or PA with strong CVICU/CTICU background.

Schedule

3 x 12-hour night shifts

6:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Weekends and holidays required

Approximately 4 weekend days per month (flexible based on departmental needs)

Ideal schedule: Thursday–Saturday (flexible)

Practice Setting

24-bed Cardiothoracic ICU

Adult patients (18+)

APP covers 12–24 patients per shift

Nightly in-house intensivist

Anesthesia fellow present most nights

Clinical Responsibilities

Management of heart and lung transplant patients

ECMO (VA & VV) management

Scrubbing in for ECMO cannulation and decannulation (no OR coverage required)

No line placement required (dedicated team available)

Requirements

NP or PA accepted

Minimum 2 years CVICU/CTICU experience required

Teaching hospital or large academic center experience preferred

Board Certified (Acute Care)

BLS & ACLS required

DEA required

Credentialing

Approximately 6 weeks
