Cardiac Anesthesiology – Locum Tenens Opportunity
We are seeking a Cardiac Anesthesiology MD to provide locum tenens coverage with an ASAP start date. This is a great opportunity to join a care-team model in a growing cardiac program with a diverse case mix.
Position Overview

Schedule: 7a–3p + call (details on call type/frequency forthcoming)
Case Type: Bread-and-butter cardiac anesthesia
Daily Expectations: Providers should anticipate 1 heart case per day
Additional Procedures: Full-scope cardiac, vascular, thoracic (coronary bypass, aortic/mitral valves, cath lab procedures)
Team Structure: Physicians and CRNAs in a collaborative care-team model
Pediatrics: No peds
EMR: Epic
Program Status: New cardiac program currently expanding; additional details on daily workflow forthcoming

Requirements

Board Certification: BC in Cardiac Anesthesiology (fellowship trained accepted if not BC)
License: Active VA license required
Certifications: BLS
Experience: Hands-on cardiac anesthesiology experience required
Privileges: Hospital privileges required
Vaccination Requirements: Not specified
DEA / CSR: Not specified

Travel

All travel is billable (airfare, hotel, rental car, mileage)
