Job description

Vascular Surgery Physician Assistant Needed Near Harrisburg, PA
Start Date: As soon as credentialed
Credentialing timeframe: ~90 days (temporary privileges available with clean file)
Contract Length: Ongoing contract (Locum Tenens – 1099)

Schedule

4 × 10‑hour day shifts
Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Schedule: Every other week
No call
Coverage includes scheduled clinic and hospital rounds/consults


Practice Details

Hospital-based vascular surgery service
Mix of inpatient consults, rounds, and outpatient clinic (clinic located within hospital)
No trauma coverage
EMR: Epic
Patient population: Adult (18+)
Average volume: ~15 patients/day, ~2 consults/day


Clinical Scope

Vascular surgery support in clinic and hospital setting
Procedures include:

Vascular bypass
Amputations


Pre- and post-operative patient management
Rounding and consult coverage


Requirements

Physician Assistant – Vascular Surgery
Board Certified or Board Eligible
Active Pennsylvania license required (or willing to obtain)
DEA required (PA address required)
Minimum 1 year of vascular experience required

Surgical experience preferred but not required


Provider questionnaire required at submission
NPDB self-query (within 6 months) required
Full malpractice disclosure required
Clean credentialing file strongly preferred


Credentialing

Full hospital credentialing required
Provider must be fully cleared at least 2 business days prior to start
Temporary privileges available for urgent needs with clean file
Committee and board approval required for permanent privileges
