Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Per-Diem Registered Nurse for the Neuro Stepdown Unit (SDU) at a hospital in Marrero, LA. Choose your preferred shifts—no client interview required! ✅ Key Responsibilities
✔️ Perform standardized neuro assessments (NIHSS, Glasgow Coma Scale) and focused neuro-checks every 1–4 hours
✔️ Monitor patients on telemetry, manage arterial lines, and detect cardiac or blood pressure instability
✔️ Care for patients with external ventricular drains (EVDs), lumbar drains, or subdural drains
✔️ Conduct bedside swallowing screens and implement aspiration precautions
✔️ Educate patients and families on stroke warning signs, medication management, and rehab coordination
✔️ Detect subtle changes in mental status, motor function, pupil response, and level of consciousness

✅ Qualifications
✔️ Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program
✔️ Active, unencumbered RN license in Louisiana
✔️ Current BLS Certification
✔️ Minimum 1 year of RN experience
✔️ Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and effective communication
✔️ Culturally competent, collaborative, adaptable, and positive professional attitude
