Hematology/Oncology Locum Opportunity – Pennsylvania | Full-Time Ongoing

Specialty: Hematology & Oncology
Start Date: May 10, 2026
Contract Length: Ongoing (minimum 6-month commitment)

🗓️ Schedule
Full-time coverage
Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (clinic hours)
5 days/week, 8-hour shifts

📞 Call Schedule
Call Rotation: 1:2
Night Call: ~10 days/month (4:15 PM – 8:00 AM)
Weekend Call: 2 weekends/month (24-hour call)
Call Type: Inpatient + phone

📌 Call Expectations:

Light volume: typically 2–3 calls early evening, rare after 9 PM
Coverage for ER and hospital team
Weekend rounding: ~2 hours/day (supported by APPs)
Hospitalists manage admissions (consulting service only)

Rural community setting with strong support infrastructure
EMR: EPIC

⚕️ Clinical Details
Patient Volume: ~15 patients/day
Population: Adult only
Case Mix:
~60% Hematology
~40% Oncology
Bread-and-butter solid tumor + benign/malignant hematology

💉 Infusion & Services
On-site infusion center:
14 chairs + 2 private rooms
Oncology-certified nursing staff
Radiation oncology available on-site
Multidisciplinary care with access to tumor boards

👥 Support & Team
3 APPs providing strong clinical and rounding support
On-site pharmacist
Collaborative environment with established patient panel

🔧 Procedures
No required procedures
No bone marrow biopsies
No lumbar punctures
No port access
No BMT responsibilities

✅ Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology
Active PA license (or willing to obtain / IMLC accepted)
DEA required
Minimum 1 year experience

• Ongoing
• Night and weekend call required
• See all solid tumor and benign and malignant heme
