About the clinician's workday

The Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic services to patients ranging from adolescents to elderly adults in an outpatient mental health setting. Clinical responsibilities include conducting thorough assessments for conditions such as ADHD, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, substance use disorders, and depression while maintaining detailed documentation in the Athenahealth EMR system. The clinician will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, social workers, therapists, nurse practitioners, and physicians to ensure coordinated patient care. The position requires managing a caseload of 5-8 patients daily with 15-30 minute follow-up appointments and 1-hour initial evaluations, focusing primarily on diagnostic services rather than ongoing therapy for Medicare and Medicaid patient populations.
