Weekend-focused schedule with 24-hour call coverage

This locum tenens opportunity is ideal for an experienced PA or NP with a cardiac surgery background looking for a high-impact, weekend-heavy role.

Schedule
3 weekends per month
Friday 5pm – Monday 7am
24-hour call coverage

Clinical Details
Hospital-based setting (~160+ beds)
Adult patient population
Average 4 hours of patient care/rounding per day
EMR: Epic

Scope of Work
Manage cardiac surgery patients across the continuum
Assist with urgent surgical cases from cath lab to OR
Post-op care including ICU to step-down transitions
Vein harvesting and procedural support

Support
Surgeon backup available after initial consult
Collaborative APP team environment

Requirements
PA or NP certification
Active Pennsylvania license
DEA required
Minimum 3 years of cardiac surgery experience
Strong experience with vein harvesting preferred
