Job description

Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant locum opportunity available in Pleasanton, CA. This is a full-spectrum role covering OR, ICU, and clinic in a community hospital setting.

Schedule:
• 6a–6p shifts
• Full-time coverage
• 1 night/week call + 1 weekend/month
• Start: April 2026
• Minimum 6-month commitment

Practice:
• Acute Care Hospital
• Care across ICU, OR, floor, and clinic
• First/second assist in OR (EVH/RAH preferred)
• Manage admissions, discharges, and patient care coordination
• Clinic: 2 half days per week
• Collaborative team-based model

Requirements:
• Graduate of accredited PA program
• Active CA license (licensing not available)
• DEA required
• BLS required
• OR experience required (vein/artery harvesting preferred)

Credentialing:
• Temporary privileges available (~30 days)
• Full credentialing: ~3–4 months
