Position: Physician Assistant (PA) – Cardiothoracic Surgery
Start Date: March 30, 2026
Contract Length: Ongoing

📅 Assignment Details
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours + call
Guaranteed Hours: 8 hours/day (OT after 8 hours)
📞 Call Details
Call Rotation: 1:2 (shared with 1 other PA)
Weekday Call: 3:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Weekend Call: Friday 3:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM
Call Back: ~1–2 times per month
🏥 Practice Setting
Setting: Inpatient (clinic located inside hospital)
EMR: Epic
Support Staff: 2 physicians + MAs (scheduling & rooming)
Providers per Shift: 5–8

This is a dynamic, all-in-one role where PAs will rotate between:

OR assisting
Rounding
Clinic responsibilities
🧠 Required Skills & Experience
Surgical care & suturing
Radical and endoscopic vein harvesting
OR assist
ICU/step-down patient management

Advanced Skills Required:

Interpret EKGs, X-rays, and labs
Experience with ECMO, IABP, and Impella

Preferred Experience:

3–5 years of cardiothoracic surgery experience

Board Certification: Certified PA
License: Active California license required
DEA: Active CA DEA required
Certifications: BLS & ACLS

• MARCH 30th- APRIL 7th AM. April 12th- 14th. Future dates TBD
• On call required
