Locums Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant Needed in Savannah, GA

Job description

-Based on coverage we cannot guarantee ICU call for every other night.
-Service line will require CT APP locum coverage 1 weekend per month. Practice currently has 2 full-time APP vacancies.
-License GA required, Required Vein Harvesting
-Duties: Rounding and call coverage, 30 minute recall for the hospital, not required to stay at the hospital - hotel, consults ED, ICU, anything CT related would route to CVT PA first
-Cover responsibilities include call coverage and rounding on the CVICU
-Support - 1 Surgeon, 2 APPS, floor and OR nurse structure.
-24-hour non-restrictive call coverage Friday - Monday am
-EMR Epic
-Actively recruiting to backfill 2 vacancies. Practice retained 1 APP as PRN to reduce locum spend.
-Daily Patient Volume 8
-Typically, the coverage would include both cardiovascular and thoracic cases. However, we don't usually have emergent thoracic cases; if one does arise, it is typically managed by the residents.
