Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant Needed in West Los Angeles Area, California
Target Start Date: As soon as credentialed (urgent coverage)
Contract Length: 13 weeks (ongoing potential)
Schedule: Monday–Friday clinical coverage with rotating night and weekend call
Call Details: Required; shared call rotation
Job Details:

Cardiothoracic surgery PA support in an inpatient hospital setting
Responsibilities include OR first assist, inpatient rounding, ICU and step-down patient management, and hospital-based clinic coverage
Exposure to advanced cardiac support including ECMO, IABP, and Impella
Perform vein harvesting (radial and endoscopic), suturing, and perioperative surgical care
Collaborative team environment with attending surgeons and APP support

Requirements:

Physician Assistant with cardiothoracic surgery experience preferred
Highly prefer 3–5 years of relevant CT surgery experience
Active California license and DEA required (no licensing assistance)
ACLS and BLS required
Clean malpractice history required
Temporary privileges available
