PA or APRN – Pediatric Cardiac ICU – Locum Tenens – Oklahoma City, OK

Job description

A major children's hospital in the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma area is seeking a Physician Assistant or Pediatric Acute Care APRN for locum tenens coverage in their 25-bed Cardiac ICU. This is a Level I trauma center with a Level IV NICU, providing comprehensive pediatric cardiac care including post-operative patients, neonatal surgeries, VAD patients, and potential heart transplant cases.

The APP will provide first-call coverage for 12–13 CICU patients on night shifts (5 PM to 6:30 AM), with in-house cardiac ICU physician coverage overnight. A minimum of 7–10 shifts per month is required. Coverage is needed immediately through fall/winter 2026 due to a departing PA.

Requirements: PA or Pediatric Acute Care APRN credential required. Candidates must have pediatric cardiac ICU experience. EMR is EPIC. Credentialing timeframe is approximately 90 days. No call required beyond the scheduled shift.

Key duties include performing history and physical assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, developing and implementing care plans, and maintaining accurate documentation in EPIC.
