About the clinician's workday

The nurse practitioner will provide comprehensive cardiothoracic surgery coverage with 24-hour call responsibilities including 1-2 weekdays and weekends. The role requires performing general cardiovascular/thoracic surgery procedures, coronary artery bypass surgery on pump, valvular repair and replacement procedures. The clinician will manage evaluation and management of acute volume/BP issues, insertion of central lines, and provide ventilation management. Board certification is required for this position covering both inpatient and clinic assignments.
