Assignment Details
• Start Date: May 2026
• Schedule: 3 weekends per month
• Shift Structure: Friday 12:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM
• Coverage Type: 24-hour call throughout scheduled weekends
• Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 90 days (temporary privileges available for clean files)

• Specialty: Cardiac Surgery (Cardiothoracic Surgery)
• Patient Population: Adult (18+)
• Support Staff: Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
• Coverage Needs: 3 weekends per month
• Average Callback: 2–4 hours per day (including rounding)
• EMR: Epic
• Hospital Size: 163 beds
• Procedures: Urgent cardiac surgeries (no TAVRs)
• Department Notes:
• Cases primarily originate from the cath lab
• Stable patients may be scheduled for surgery the following week
• Continuum of care from ICU through discharge
• Surgeon provides consultative support with backup coverage as needed

Requirements
• License: Active Pennsylvania medical license required
• Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiac Surgery
• DEA: Required
• Minimum Experience: At least 1 year of cardiothoracic surgical experience
