OB Hospitalist Locums Opportunity in California

Job description

Opportunity Highlights:
• 13-hour night shifts (7p–8a; final hour for handoffs)
• Option for extended 25-hour shifts
• No call required
• Flexible coverage – ideally 10–15 shifts/month, but open to providers with as few as 2 shifts/month

Schedule:
• Nights only (7p–8a)

Work Details:
• Active labor management: ~5–8 patients per night
• 1–2 ED consults per night
• Adult patient population
• Practice Setting: Hospital
• EMR: Epic
• Bread & butter OB hospitalist work
• Operative delivery experience (including forceps) strongly preferred
• Experience working with midwives preferred
• Spanish-speaking skills a plus

Important Note:
This facility does perform abortions. While locums will not be required to perform them, providers will be responsible for managing any related complications.

Requirements:
• Board Certification: ABOG BC strongly preferred (will consider truly BE)
• Active California license required
• CA DEA required
• BLS required
• Ideally 2+ years OB Hospitalist experience (new grads considered, but not preferred)

Additional Details:
• Credentialing timeframe: ~90 days
• Parking available (~$10/day) or free shuttle from nearby BART station
