PRN Outpatient Cardiothoracic Surgery NP Needed in Pasadena, CA

Shift Details: 7a-5p
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday - per diem

Work Details:
Support Staff: 3 MDs, 2 front office, 1 surgery scheduler, 2 medical assistants
Patients per day: 35-40/ week. Varies on day. Mondays are generally slower while Tuesdays are typically the busiest day
Outpatient clinic. Provider will be supporting 3 cardiac surgeons with pre-post op patient care. NP will autonomously perform sutures, wound care. No invasive or surgical procedures performed in clinic. This role will be 60% administrative and 40% clinical.
Special Procedures: Wound care, suturing
Prefer surgical experience and background with cardiothoracic surgery or other cardiac experience/surgical background. Extensive experience in another specialty *may* be considered if provider is adept in pre/post-op evaluations and minor clinical procedures mentioned above. Outpatient experience highly preferred
·Minimum Experience Required: 2 years; A new grad is ok if they seem willing to learn and be mentored -- Those who are not new grads should have some experience in our field.
Credentialing Timeframe: 60-75 days. Expedited will be considered on an as needed basis.
NOTE: this is outpatient and mostly administrative with some clinical, but no surgical cases or invasive procedures will be required
