Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician (MFM) – Outpatient Focus | Flexible Ongoing Opportunity

Job description

A respected healthcare system is seeking Maternal Fetal Medicine Physicians for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity. This role offers a consistent weekday schedule with a strong support team and a focus on consultative care and advanced ultrasound services.

Practice Setting:
Combination of outpatient clinic and hospital-based consultative care
Focus on high-risk obstetrics and maternal-fetal medicine services
Collaborative team environment with strong clinical support:
2 Registered Nurses
2 Medical Assistants
2 Advanced Practice Providers
Utilizes Epic EMR

Clinical Responsibilities:
Ultrasound interpretation and performance
Consultative services for high-risk pregnancies
Average patient volume: approximately 25 per day
Management of complex maternal-fetal conditions, including:
Hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (including HELLP syndrome)
Pre-existing and gestational diabetes
Cardiac, pulmonary, renal, neurologic, and autoimmune disorders
Hematologic and oncologic conditions
Placental complications and multiple gestations
Procedures may include amniocentesis and advanced fetal imaging
Level II ultrasound and fetal echocardiography experience preferred

Requirements:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine
Active state medical license (or willingness to obtain)
DEA required
BLS certification required
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
Strong ultrasound diagnostic skills highly preferred

Additional Details:
Credentialing timeframe approximately 90 days; expedited privileges may be available for qualified candidates
Consistent patient volume and established workflows
Supportive environment with experienced staff and resources

• Call not required but offered if wanted
• Full-time preferred; part-time (e.g., one week per month) considered
