Position Overview
Seeking an experienced APP to provide high-acuity care in a cardiothoracic ICU at a large, Level I Trauma Center. This role involves managing complex post-operative patients, including thoracic surgery cases, in a fast-paced critical care environment.

Facility Details

703-bed Level I Trauma Center
12-bed Cardiothoracic ICU
After-hours cross coverage of PCU

Schedule

Full-time coverage
3 shifts per week, 13-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 8:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 8:00 AM)
Must be flexible to work both days and nights
No call required


Work Details

Provide primary management of immediate post-operative cardiothoracic patients
Write daily progress notes and manage ongoing ICU care
Exposure to thoracic surgery cases
Procedural skills are a plus, but not required
Airway management (intubations handled by anesthesia)
Required experience with LVAD and ECMO

Requirements

Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Strong preference for cardiothoracic surgery ICU experience
Ability to practice independently in high-acuity, critical care settings
