GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: PA-C's are academically and clinically trained to perform many of the routine tasks that Physicians usually do and are responsible for their own actions, as well as accountable to our clinic’s supervising Physician.

Meets new and existing ambulatory patients in the clinic for examination, diagnosis, and development of patient care plans based on the patient’s medical history.
Administers and orders diagnostic tests such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and blood work, and interprets test results.
Performs therapeutic procedures such as immunizations, injections, suturing and wound care, and managing infection.
Exercises professional judgment regarding consultation with supervising Physicians concerning appropriate treatment.
Develops and implements patient care plans, instructs and counsels patients, and records progress.
Prescribes medications to the extent allowable by state guidelines and clinic regulations.
Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
Enforces all policies, procedures, protocols, directives and goals of the organization.

Required Skills/Abilities:
Demonstrated competency dealing with all age groups, especially geriatric patients.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional interpersonal skills.
Superb organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks.

Education and Experience:
Successful completion of an approved Physician Assistant program.
Current Arizona Physician Assistant license.
Must have 8000 hours of clinical practice certified by the Arizona Regulatory Board of Physicians Assistants.
NCCPA certification required.
A sound understanding of all pertinent federal and state regulations, including HIPAA.
Prescriptive authorization.
Proficiency with medical instruments and equipment required to perform your work.
Proficient in charting and completing tasks in an EMR system. eClinicalWorks experience a plus.

  • Base Pay: $125,000 - $135,000 per year. Potential to earn over $20,000 in bonuses each year under a performance based quarterly bonus structure.
  • 6 weeks of PTO, inclusive of vacation, sick time, major holidays, and continuing medical education (CME). $500 CME stipend.
