The Merraine Group has been retained by a prestigious client in Connecticut looking for a Chief Medical Officer
to join their Executive Leadership Team. The client is a non-profit organization dedicated to behavioral healthcare who is experiencing ongoing growth and service expansion. They presently operate across 10 sites throughout CT, attending to nearly 6,000 patients daily. As they observe evolving patient needs, they aim to broaden their network and services to meet those changing requirements.

SUMMARY:
The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) holds ultimate responsibility for the medical aspects of the organization, overseeing all medical services and driving the clinical strategy. This key member of the executive leadership team is tasked with elevating clinical care and patient outcomes through research, training programs, and academic fellowships.

• The successful candidate will demonstrate thoughtful leadership, exceptional relationship-building, and effective team communication.
• Administrative duties include oversight of medical services, direction for healthcare professionals, policy review, and ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
• The CMO fosters a team of compassionate care providers, ensuring clinical programs align with federal and state requirements, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Applicants must possess a valid medical license in the State of Connecticut
• Minimum of five (5) years of clinical practice, in addition to five (5) of clinical supervisory or administrative experience.
• Board certification in psychiatry is essential, along with prior experience in a chemical dependency treatment setting.
