24 hour Adult Psychiatry call need in Missouri

Would you be open to helping me with some 24-hr inpatient adult psychiatry shifts in Poplar Bluff MO?

You would round on your shift then can take call from your phone.
Rarely being called back in.

40 bed unit.
Ages 18 and up.
Three doctors cover the unit Monday through Friday.
Two doctors cover the unit on the weekend and/or holiday.
They are looking for the locum to provide 24 hour call coverage, to include rounding on the days they are scheduled for
The doctor does not have to come back to the hospital when on call with the exception being for a stat consult. (rare occasion)

Physician required to do Psychiatric Admission Notes, daily progress notes and discharge summaries.
All notes are dictated.
The physician on call is responsible for consults on other units along with their coverage of their assigned patients on the unit.
Average daily census presently around 28-30 patients per day (about 15 patients per doctor).

Seclusion room coverage no longer requires a physician to come back to the unit. Seclusion is handled by nursing now with phone consultation with on-call physician for medications and new orders on the patient when necessary.

Average Time to Credential: 30 days.

• Board Certified or Board Eligible Required
• Must have active MO License
